I've always been drawn to natural materials and colours—there's something about their simplicity and authenticity that speaks to me. Even as a child, I found beauty in trees, flowers, and even wild grasses. Their quiet presence felt comforting, grounding, and real.
This unique bag is made using the Sakiori weaving technique, an eco-friendly upcycling method that gives new life to fabric scraps. Handwoven with naturally coffee-dyed materials and combined with a delicate floral-patterned fabric, it offers both charm and durability. The interior lining features the same floral fabric for a cohesive and elegant touch.

Botanical Weaver is a brand born from a deep love for nature and a passion for creating with my own hands. Growing up in Japan and now living in Melbourne, I've been influenced by both cultures, each rich with unique traditions and values. This fusion has shaped my creative vision, blending the Japanese appreciation for craftsmanship with the Australian love for natural beauty.
At the heart of Botanical Weaver, I focus on using sustainable materials that are kind to the Earth. My bags are crafted from hand-spun organic cotton yarns, woven into fabrics and naturally dyed using plant-based dyes. These fabrics are then paired with designs inspired by the native flora of Australia. The result is a collection of eco-friendly, handmade bags that embody both craftsmanship and a deep connection to nature.
Creating things by hand has always been a way for me to relax and unwind, and I've been fortunate to have friends who appreciate the pieces I make.
